Professor Vladimir Sokolov is a leading researcher in the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics of the Russian Acadamy of Sciences. He was educated in Moscow and Bashkirian Universities and was a cnadidate of science in mathematical physics in 1981, and received a doctor of science in mathematical physics in 1990.
