MATHLOGAPS Training Workshop

Introduction

This is a training event aimed primarily at PhD students working in Mathematical Logic or a closely related area. MATHLOGAPS is a Marie Curie Early Stage Training Site (running 1/9/04 - 31/8/08) funding PhD studentships and short term visits by PhD students in mathematical logic at the Universities of Leeds, Manchester, Lyon 1, Lyon Ecole Normale Supérieure and Munich. PhD students or others who are not part of the network are warmly invited to participate in the workshop.

Note that the EST Training workshop is taking place in Manchester just before the MODNET Summer School, which could be of interest to many participants of the Training Workshop.

Venue

The lectures will be held in room G.205 at the School of Mathematics, Alan Turing Building The University of Manchester Manchester, M13 9PL, UK. On the University Campus map the building is marked as number 46.

Registration

Registration will take place between 1.00 and 2.30 on Monday 7th July on the ground floor of the Alan Turing Building, outside the lecture room 205. Participants arriving outside that time should seek out Alena Vencovska or George Wilmers to register

Accommodation

Participants will stay in single en-suite rooms (evening meals included) at Dalton-Ellis Hall. Map and Directions are available from the Hall's website.

For participants arriving at Dalton-Ellis Hall on Sunday 6th the reception desk there will be open from 3pm until 6pm. Sunday arrivals before or after that time should contact the duty tutor on the mobile number 07799470110 to make arrangements to meet at the reception desk.

Please note that the deadline for registration for accommodation for those attending the workshop is 20th June.
